Who?
The BSB60215 Advanced Diploma of Business is popular course for both Australian and international students, which means that classes can be very diverse with students drawing from a wide range of life experiences. Students tend to be a little older than some courses, with more work experience or a longer period of study behind them.
Really though, there’s no ‘typical’ student in this course, with the breadth of focus in the program meaning that it’s a useful qualification for people from a very wide range of background.
What?
The Advanced Diploma of Business is a Nationally Recognised Training designed for individuals with significant experience in a senior administrative role who are seeking to develop expertise across a wider range of business functions. In this way, the course is the ideal qualification for someone ready to move up the career ladder, but who perhaps lacks the breadth of work experience of an appropriate qualification to support that.
Far more than its equivalent tertiary study options, the Advanced Diploma provides real-world, multi-disciplinary skills across all areas of business – you’ll be taught how to drive change across your organisation, develop a high-achieving team and how to take your business vision to the marketplace.
The program is designed to anticipate the skill requirements for a move to senior management, with a focus on areas such as:
• Managing financials
• Organisational change
• Knowledge and information management
• Implementation of business plans
• Development of organisational marketing objectives
WHY?
The most common answer to the ‘Why?’ question among our students is that ‘It was time!’. Advanced Diploma students typically have some years of work experience behind them, and are looking to consolidate their study (often continuing on from Lexis Training’s Diploma courses, such as Business, Project Management or Leadership and Management) for the next stage in their careers. Many take their study a step further, using credits from the Advanced Diploma to fast-track a business-related university qualification.

Upon graduation, students typically follow one of two paths; they either return to the workforce with a view to moving into a management level position (often in either a marketing or human resources related positions) or they move into the second year of a bachelor level university course, utilising credits received through the Advanced Diploma to take a year off their study time.
Where?
The Advanced Diploma of Business is taught by Lexis Training at Manly Beach in Sydney, at Scarborough in Perth and at our waterfront campus in Maroochydore, on the Sunshine Coast. The course is fully supported online through Moodle, allowing maximum flexibility for busy students.
